Who rents a car by the month
- Expats and staff on a Lahore posting. Engineers on a project, consultants on a six month contract, staff at multinationals in Gulberg and DHA. A monthly car is ready on day one, with no purchase, no transfer papers and no resale to worry about when you leave.
- Overseas Pakistanis home for the season. Summer holidays, a long winter visit, a family wedding season. One car for the whole stay, delivered to your family home.
- Companies that would rather not own cars. A car for a manager, a pool car for the office, or a pick and drop car for staff. Our corporate car rental page explains company accounts and invoicing.
- Families between cars. You sold the old car and the new one is months away, or a family member has started a job across town.
How monthly rental works
- Tell us what you need. The car or category, the start date, with or without driver, and roughly how far you drive in a normal week.
- Get a written offer. Monthly rent, kilometre allowance, deposit or advance, and exactly what is included.
- Paperwork. Documents, a short agreement, and the deposit or first month in advance.
- Handover at your address. A checked, washed car, photographed with you, fuel level and odometer noted.
- Every month. A reminder a few days before the month ends, then payment and the next month continues. No new paperwork unless something changes.
Maintenance and the replacement car
We track every monthly car by kilometres and dates. When a service is due, we message you to agree a time, then either collect the car and bring it back the same day or swap it with another car while it is in the workshop. Oil and filters, brake pads, batteries, tyres worn through normal use and AC gas in the run-up to Lahore’s June heat are all on us.
What is not wear and tear: accident damage, a kerbed wheel, a cracked bumper from a tight parking spot in Anarkali, or damage from misuse. Those follow the damage terms in your agreement.

With driver or self drive?
Self drive costs less and gives you full privacy. You handle parking, fuel and challans, and you need a licence that is valid in Pakistan.
With driver suits expats, busy professionals and families with elderly parents. No licence questions, no parking hunts at Liberty or Hafeez Centre, and the driver takes the car for fuel and services. Drivers work an agreed number of hours a day with a weekly day off; extra hours and outstation nights are billed at the rates in the table.
Costs to plan for
- Fuel. The biggest variable. A daily commute from DHA Phase 5 to Gulberg is roughly 25 to 30 km a day there and back, before weekend trips.
- Kilometres. Agree an allowance that matches your real use, so there is no extra km charge at month end.
- Tolls and parking. Motorway tolls and paid parking at malls and hospitals.
- Challans. Safe City e-challans during your rental are added to the monthly statement with a copy of each challan.
Ending or extending
Tell us a few days before the month ends if you want to stop, change the car or switch between self drive and with driver. We collect the car from your address, check it with you, and settle the deposit after the final e-challan check.

Is a monthly rental cheaper than renting by the day?
Yes. Monthly prices work out to a lower cost per day than daily bookings. Compare the monthly column in the table on this page with the daily rates on any car page.
What happens if the car breaks down during the month?
Call or WhatsApp us. Small issues are fixed where the car is. If it needs a workshop, we send a replacement car, usually within 24 hours in Lahore. Repairs from normal wear and tear are on us.
Can expats and foreign nationals rent a car monthly?
Yes. Foreign nationals need a passport with a valid visa. For self drive you also need your home licence with an international driving permit. Many expats working in Lahore choose a car with driver, which avoids licence questions and parking altogether.
How many kilometres are included per month?
Self drive cars have a daily allowance shown in the rate table, which adds up over the month. Tell us your expected use, for example a daily commute from DHA to Gulberg plus weekend trips, and we set a monthly allowance in your agreement that fits.
Can I change the car during the month?
Yes, subject to availability. Moving to a bigger or smaller car changes the rate from the day you switch.
Is there a deposit for monthly rentals?
For self drive, yes, a refundable security deposit, shown per car in the table. With driver plans usually need the first month's rent in advance instead. The exact terms are in your agreement.
