Before you go
- Best time to go
- October to March. Summers are very hot, and fog is common on winter mornings.
- Road and weather
- The driver joins the M-3 just west of Lahore, a short run from Thokar Niaz Baig, and follows it to Abdul Hakeem, where it meets the M-4 for the last stretch to Multan. It is long, flat and straight, so a tea break keeps everyone fresh. In December and January, fog can close the motorways at night and early morning.
- Tolls
- Tolls on the M-3 and M-4 are collected at the toll plazas (M-Tag). They are charged at actual cost on top of the car rate. Check the current NHA rates before you travel.
Multan is the City of Saints, famous for its shrines, blue tile work, sohan halwa and, in summer, the best mangoes in Pakistan. The M-3 has brought it within about four hours of Lahore.
The drive
The driver joins the M-3 Lahore to Abdul Hakeem Motorway just west of Lahore, a short run from Thokar Niaz Baig. It runs south-west across central Punjab to Abdul Hakeem, where it meets the M-4, which continues past Khanewal to Multan. It is an easy drive, flat and straight, with service areas along the way.

What to see in Multan
- Shrine of Shah Rukn-e-Alam: the great tomb that dominates Multan’s skyline.
- Shrine of Bahauddin Zakariya: next to the old fort area, visited by pilgrims all year.
- Ghanta Ghar and the old city: clock tower, bazaars, blue pottery and sohan halwa shops.
- Mango season: June to August, when orchards and markets are full.
Who books this trip

- Pilgrims visiting the shrines, especially during urs celebrations.

Choosing a car
For up to four people, a Toyota Corolla or Honda Civic with a driver is comfortable for the four hour run. An SUV like the Kia Sportage gives more space for families with luggage. For wedding parties and groups, a Toyota Hiace or coaster keeps everyone together, and our wedding car rental can cover the couple’s car too.

Nearby routes
Faisalabad is on the M-4 north of Multan and makes a good stop on a longer Punjab trip.

How outstation pricing works
Four simple rules, the same for every outstation trip. Your quote lists every item before you confirm.

For every night away from Lahore there is a fixed night allowance that covers the driver's stay and meals, so you never have to arrange them yourself.
from Rs 1,500 per nightFuel and tolls at actual cost
Fuel, motorway tolls (paid by M-Tag) and parking are charged at actual cost, with no mark-up. Your quote explains how they are settled.
